Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural disasters for nearly 45 years. Her focus is on the suffering of those living in these regions. Curry reported on conflicts that raged in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Finally, she graduated Ashland High School. In Medford, she started her broadcasting career at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22, she became the first reporter to be female at KTVL. Then, she was an anchor/reporter at KGW located in Portland Oregon. Four years later she moved to Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS-TV. In her time with the channel she received two Emmy Awards.
